FAQ for the Sales Lead Wizard

  1. Can the Sales Lead Wizard find and collect Email addresses? This is the most frequently asked question that we get. And, despite our answer posted here the question keeps coming. The answer is yes, but in a controlled release due to the legal and ethical requirements for using email addresses for the purpose of sending bulk commercial messages. Therefore, the Email database collection feature of the Sales Lead Wizard is not available in our Trial (7 Days), Monthly, and Quarterly Subscription Plans. However, the Sales Lead Wizard Email database collection feature is available with our Annual Subscription plan, which includes special conditions of use in our End-User License Agreement (EULA).
  2. What are the computer requirements to run or use the Sales Lead Wizard? 1.6 Gig CPU, and Windows XP or Vista. Also runs on Windows Web Server.
  3. How long does it take to collect 5,000 sales leads? Gathering 5,000 addresses could take up to 24 hours. Using some search criteria, a large quantity may not be unattainable. As there aren’t that many web sites which would match your search criteria and have an address. For some obscure searches, you may only get 100 or so results. For other types of searches, results would be in the 1000s. Your search criteria will get various results depending upon what you enter, just like using a search engine.
  4. What is the file type where the collected data gets stored? The data gets stored in a Microsoft Access database. A new database is created for each search. Also, 2 other Access databases keep track of what web sites have been visited, and which ones are left to do.
  5. Does the name and address database require much clean-up? The name and address database may require considerable cleanup before actually printing mailing labels to make a mailing list. When searching the Internet, It is often unclear to the Sales Lead Wizard what words are part of the company name, and what are not. It errors on the side of having enough of the web text available. Therefore by doing some editing of the collection database with Access or Excel you can have a good mailing address.
  6. How are the phone numbers formatted? The Sales Lead Wizard will render the phone numbers just as they are found on the Internet as text. The formats include ###-####, ###-###-####, (###) ###-####, ###.###.####. Of course some of these don’t turn out to be actual phone numbers, but numbers resembling the format.
  7. What is the address has more than four address lines? The Sales Lead Wizard gathers enough text before the zip code in the address, that even 4 line addresses should be gathered fine. You may need to edit the format of the address before printing a mailing list as your search criteria will cause the results to vary.
  8. Why does the Sales Lead Wizard's database require so much clean-up? The Sales Lead Wizard is able to find addresses and phone numbers. However, due to the non-standardized format of web pages containing business names and street addresses, the Wizard cannot always edit out all irrelevant parts of the address. But it saves more than you need, so that you can delete all but the needed parts of the address. Phone numbers, cities, and states and zip codes most often do not need much cleanup.
  9. How many times can I use the Sales Lead Wizard before it expires? The Sales Lead Wizard can be run as many times as needed during the subscription period. Or all the time, if needed.
